At Chessington Veterinary Surgery, our aim is to provide a professional caring service for your pets. To help us provide the best possible care, we ensure that our surgery has the facilities and equipment for this. The practice was designed to enable cats and dogs to be handled away from each other so that they do not cause stress to each other. Separate areas in the waiting room ensure cats do not become terrified by the excitable dog next to them. Similarly the cattery is on the opposite side of the building from the dog kennels.
We have our own in house laboratory included the latest laser blood cell analyser, enabling the majority of laboratory investigations to be carried out promptly with results available the same day or often within minutes of taking samples from your pet. Other diagnostic facilities include a powerful X-ray machine, ECG machines and a full colour Doppler ultrasound machine providing safe imaging of internal organs without the need for anaesthesia to give, for example, accurate diagnosis of heart problems or to confirm pregnancy diagnosis.
When pets require surgery, that is handled in our sterile theatre suit to reduce the risk of post operative infections. We have isolation facilities to enable us to handle patients that may be an infection risk to other patients.
